Project Design Engineer

We currently have at least one position available for a Project Design Engineer. Below is the basic job description.

DEPARTMENT: ENGINEERING

DESCRIPTION: The project engineer will lead machine building projects from concept to completion. The PE will need to review contracts, interview customers, develop machine designs, conduct design reviews, check bills of materials and shop drawings. The PE will review the progress of the project through all phases including start-up. Projects will require close communication and supervision of drafters, purchasing people and shop operations. The PE will need to interface with the Project Manager and convey project process.

REQUIREMENTS:

1.) Education:

Required: BS or higher degree in Engineering or 5 years of equivalent experience.

Preferred: BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.

2.) Skills

Required: SolidWorks 2008 (or higher), AutoCAD,MS Office, MS Project

Preferred: Machining techniques, fabrication techniques, web handling experience, coating,

laminating, slitting, general converting experience, THE ABILITY TO SPEAK

MANDARIN IS A PLUS.

3.) Physical

Sitting and operating a computer for extended periods. Standing, walking and climbing to inspect equipment. Use of hand tools.
