We currently have at least one position available for a Controls Engineer.   Below is the basic job description.

DEPARTMENT: CONTROLS ENGINEERING

DESCRIPTION: The Controls Engineer (CE) will use AutoCAD Electrical to create the necessary machine P&ID drawings, Control Schematics, and wiring diagrams in a manner consistent with ConQuip standards to create the control systems design for custom machinery.

 

The CE is responsible for communicating with the project manager and other project engineers

to ascertain all functional requirements necessary for complete machine control designs. The CE

will develop device lists and BOMs in conjunction with other assigned project and design engineers. 

 

The CE must stay current with available OEM components, systems and software. The CE must

be resourceful and innovative in the application of OEM components.

 

The CE should have familiarity or develop the familiarity in the applications of a variety of industrial control components and systems including, but not limited to digital and analog drive systems,

PLCs and Process Controllers, sensors, actuators, power supplies, and wiring devices.  Additional knowledge in the area of NEC, NFPA, UL and CE codes is helpful.

REQUIREMENTS:

1.) Education:

Required: BS or higher degree in Engineering or 5 years of equivalent experience.

Preferred: BS degree in Electrical Engineering.

2.) Skills

Required: MS Office, MS Project

Preferred: AutoCAD, web handling experience, coating, laminating, slitting, general converting experience, THE ABILITY TO SPEAK MANDARIN IS A PLUS.

 

3.) Physical

Sitting and operating a computer for extended periods. Standing, walking and climbing to

inspect equipment. Use of hand tools.
